In this new design, Scout loses the facepaint, knife, and the Scout logo t-shirt. He now dons leather gloves, a muted team-coloured jumpsuit, a backpack, goggles, and a headset that was worn on the original QWTF design. This design is considered in-universe to be the canon design to the Classic Scout, and can be been in the TF2 comics ''A Cold Day in Hell'' and ''Catch Up'', although heavily simplified and missing the cap in the latter.

The 6-11-2020 Postal III leak gave more of an insight to his textures and model around this time, which show that he was meant to have team-coloured pants rather than the greyish-redish-greenish colour that his pants are in retail. Interestingly enough, the RED team texture in the leak seem to have the same pants as his BLU team counterpart, an error that exists in Scout's HUD icon in the retail game, suggesting that the render used as the HUD icon was completed around this time, but not implemented until the retail build. Also interesting to note is that the beta HUD icon for Scout found in the files has the correct pants on both teams, and a paintover to give it extra detail.

Version 6.5, cont'd: Team Fortress 2 Beta: Illustrative Rendering Phase

At this point, Scout recieved more of a facelift, looking less depressed and angry than the previous incarnations. He is practically finalized.

It is not known approximately how early the build is before the Illustrative Rendering video itself. The DMX leaked alongside the Postal III build and video both use an earlier model with earlier textures, which look like a holdover from Trailer 2.

Version 7: Retail Team Fortress 2

The finalized version of the model doesn't seem to be too different from the Postal III leak files, save for the pants on both teams using the RED team's pants. The model would go through 4 revisions throughout the game's lifespan. The August 13th, 2009, February 3rd, 2011, and May 12th, 2011 patches added hat, leg/feet, and dogtag bodygroups to the model, respectively, and the models were inexplicably altered in the November 2nd, 2012 patch to update it to what is currently is in the retail game.
